This PADI course is a crucial step in expanding a diver’s knowledge and experience. The PADI EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDER Course is a prerequisite for all PADI leadership training courses. At the end of the course you will come to appreciate and understand the importance such training has on safety of others and on the diving industry as a whole.

Course Overview

There are no prerequisites.
The EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDER course is for students seeking CPR training to meet a diving course requirement for personal enhancement or as part of a community service activity.
The EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDER course offered by PADI is a basic training course which covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation & emergency care in a cohesive manner. It is a medically based course designed to provide the patient with a continuity of care as that patient is passed from the first person on the scene to the paramedics and finally on to the physicians in the emergency room. The skills of patient care necessary to support the life of an ill or injured person are covered in seven modules in which practical application and hands-on practice are emphasized. Students Learn these skills in the same sequence they would use in caring for a patient.

Course Outline

Training is accomplished in seven separate modules of instruction, with each module being divided into segments. Each segment of learning reinforces the priorities of care and approach to the patient. As a student you will develop confidence in your ability to respond and perform these simple skills in an actual emergency. The course can be completed over a one day period.
